TOWN OF JAMESTOWN

GENERAL ELECTION

The Municipal Election Commission of the Town of Jamestown announces the general election for the Town of Jamestown to be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

The following offices shall be included in this election: Mayor and Two (2) Council members from Jamestown District for term expiring four years. The polling place for this district is Jamestown Town Hall, 7604 Hwy. 41, Jamestown, S.C.

Persons desiring to vote in the upcoming election must be registered in person by 5:00PM Friday October 3, 2025, at the Berkeley County Voter Registration Office. Voter Registration online, by fax or by email must be entered by 11:59PM on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Voter registration by mail applications will be accepted if postmarked by Monday October 6, 2025.  Board of Voter Registration Office: 1003 Highway 52, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.

Citizens desiring to be candidates for one of the above listed offices may file at the Jamestown Town Hall. Books will be open for filing on August 4, 2025 at noon and remain open during regular business hours until August 18, 2025 at noon.

 

The Filing fee for the office of Mayor is $40.00 and Council is $25.00.

This is a nonpartisan election and no party affiliation shall be placed on the ballot.

The polls shall open 7:00 a.m. on election day and close at 7:00 p.m.

Any runoff will be held two weeks after the election on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
